Jana and Patrick met through mutual friends where they worked in the LA film industry. After a year of friendship, they started sneakily planning “outings” for their circle of friends. Oddly enough Patrick and Jana would be the only ones that showed up. They quickly realised this was a set up – and alas, it worked!
As they began dating, Jana learned that Patrick’s father had grown up in NZ. His brother Sean had laid roots (literally) in a beautiful area called Gibbston Valley just outside of Queenstown where he was a winemaker. They visited Patrick’s family in NZ every year or two and swiftly fell in love with the place. When the time was right, Patrick popped the question. Shortly after on an evening walk through the vineyard in NZ with a glass of wine in hand and Sean’s family at their side, they realised the vineyard would be the perfect place to tie the knot. Jana’s family in the US were in for a treat as many had never left the continent before. Much to the couple’s surprise, over 30 friends and family made journey to celebrate with them in this enchanting setting.
